Concept Mapping and Learning Styles

There are many different learning styles to accommodate to in a classroom, and no two students will ever have identical learning styles. My personal learning style is strongly logical which means I use my brain logical and mathematical reasoning. Learning is enhanced when patterns
are easily recognised, and also when working with numbers and complex calculations. Procedures, task lists, and to-do lists also help in achieving learning outcomes. Below is concept map detailing the levels of my personal learning style.

In traditional classrooms there are generally around 25 students with a range of learning styles. These learning styles are typically visual, aural, verbal, physical, logical, social and solitary. This means that within the classroom, each of these learning styles must be accommodated to in order for learners to achieve learning outcomes. The following concept map shows these learning styles and also shows materials or activities that can be used along with the learning style.
